2011 Executive Hire Show Review

Once again Altrad Belle made a significant impact and re-enforced the company’s position as being ‘No.1 For Light Construction Equipment’ to the UK Plant & Equipment Hire Industry by successfully exhibiting at the Executive Hire Show, recently held at the Ricoh Arena near Coventry.

On display on the Altrad Belle stand, were a number of new products.

These included the BGA Submersible Pump – powered by the BGA Poker Power Unit, this powerful pump is capable of pumping 25,000 litres of water, including small solids and offers greater utilisation for hire companies from standard poker drive units

The Belle ‘Warrior’ Wheelbarrow has to be the biggest innovation over the standard wheelbarrow since its inception back in the early 13^thcentury! With it’s near indestructible HDPE tray, high-engineered, galvanised frame and ergonomic design, this is the only wheelbarrow which currently comes with a One Year Warranty!

Complimenting the companies range of wheelbarrows and new to the show was the ‘Fort Flex Pro’ puncture proof tyre, which shares the same characteristics of a pneumatic tyre – without the risk of puncture, a positive step forward in reducing downtime on sites

As part of the companies commitment to the UK Contracting and Hire Industry, a new addition to the popular 4-stroke ‘RT’ Trench Rammer range, the RT60, was launched. With it’s 60kg weight, narrow body, low-HAV design, 4-stroke Honda engine and rugged protective frame, this rammer punched its weight at the exhibition, with large orders placed by both independent and national hirers.

Continuing the group’s progress as a genuine alternative in providing scaffolding and access systems the 'Altrad Plettac-Contur’ system of modular staircases drew plenty of enquiries; these ‘system’ staircases are for temporary buildings where quick erection safe access and higher load capacities are required.

In addition a new entry level DIY / Semi-Professional tower was introduced to the hire industry the ‘Aluxis Junior’ which is available in 3 heights and designed to be erected be a single person

This was probably the best Executive Hire Show in recent times, with a very high turn-out of visitors providing the company with a large number of orders and enquiries.
