Altrad – Belle Restructuring

Since January 2009, Altrad have spent the last 6 months restructuring the Belle business to match its activity levels. With turnover down over the last 6 months, the restructuring has resulted in a cut in the UK workforce, including some high profile directors. These reductions have been achieved through a combination of natural leavers, as well as voluntary and compulsory redundancies. The Spare Parts, Warranty and Diamond Blade sales operation, based in Leek has been closed and integrated into the Head Office, based in Sheen. As has Avon Equipment Ltd, who supplied DIY mixers to the retail market under the ‘Mastermix’ brand. Production of the BarOmix range has also been transferred from its small facility in Alcester to Sheen, thus retaining both Mixer ranges in the product portfolio. Our manufacturing plant in Poland, opened in 2004, also remains, but now also under the control on Altrad.
